Megan Denise Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model. She began her acting career in 2001 with several minor television and film roles, and played a recurring role on Hope and Faith. In 2004, she launched her film career with a role in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. In 2007, she was cast as Mikaela Banes, the love interest of Shia LaBeouf’s character in the blockbuster film Transformers which became her breakout role and earned her various Teen Choice Awards nominations. Fox reprised her role in the 2009 sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Later in 2009, she starred as the titular lead character in the film Jennifer’s Body. Megan Fox Super Fox.

Megan Fox is considered a sex symbol (Super Fox) and frequently appears in men’s magazine “Hot” lists. She was listed #18, #16, #2, and #5 on Maxim magazine’s yearly Hot 100 list in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 respectively, while FHM readers voted her the “Sexiest Woman in the World” in 2008. A Brief History of Motivational Posters

The first Motivational posters in the form that we all know today started to pop up in the late 1980′s on office walls. They generally had the eye-catching black background, bright white lettering below a deeply inspiring photograph. They became one of the must-have office accessories from 1985, when the company Successories began to sell these posters designed by Mac Anderson.

Successories did not invent anything new; they just invented an old idea in a new way. In the 1970′s, an image of a kitten dangling from a branch with the words “Hang in there, baby!” was a must have for almost every child with posters on their wall.

So why have and use motivational posters? Don’t people get tired of reading the same words and seeing the same image over and over again? Well No. That’s the point. Seeing the same thing over and over again does program the subconscious into remembering the poster’s positive message in times of need or stress.

Books in the 1940′s were already extolling the power of affirmations. They are very short, positive phrases. Sales hand books for salesmen suggested actually writing down positive messages such as a daily sales goal and tacking that up to the bathroom mirror or anywhere it would often be seen.

Where did this idea of affirmations from? It comes from an ancient belief that people have long had that writing is inherently magical. Our ancestors believed that the writing itself was a living thing capable of bringing anything into existence. Jewish mystics who practice the Kabbalah believe that God created the world merely by writing or uttering four letters. We still hold similar beliefs today. A contract isn’t a contract until it’s put down in writing.

Now some posters won’t really do anything for you because the picture or quote doesn’t speak to you, but if you can find a motivation poster that has a picture and a quote that moves you enough to want to take massive action, then you will have in your hands a powerful motivational tool.

When you find a poster that can inspire you and bring you back into place of personal power, then you will see just how powerful these posters can be in assisting you achieve your goals.

Most people don’t really have any goals. They just go through each day aimlessly doing pretty much the same thing they do every day. They don’t have a clearly defined purpose. When you see someone that actually went out and bought a motivational poster to put on their wall, it at least shows that they have some goal they are going after that is big enough where they will need a reminder to not give up when things get tough.

Some people may think these posters are cheesy but what’s cheesier is giving up on your dreams. So many people do this that it’s almost seen as a normal thing. Many people have completely stopped trying at all. They have settled for what they have and just try to go with the flow of things. If you really want to live the life you’ve always wanted then you have to break free from the status quo. You need to step your game up and promise yourself that you will succeed in obtaining your goals no matter how hard it gets.

Now when ever someone does something nice someone else has to make a joke of it. So the funny, anti- motivational or spoof motivational poster is born.

You can still get a good boost from funny motivational posters. With just the right funny but uplifting message, you’ll find that not even stress and frustration can ruin your drive to push forward.

Funny motivational posters can truly make a difference when they are the first things you see. There’s nothing like being reminded everyday that life isn’t just filled with stress and work reports.

Anne Geddes photos have been published in 83 countries and her books have sold more than 18 million copies worldwide.
Anne was born in Queensland, Australia, on September 13, 1956. She was raised on a 26,000-acre beef cattle farm in North Queensland, Australia, As with any true country kid,  Anne and her sisters spent their time horseback riding, mustering cattle, and swimming in flooded creek beds during the wet season.

As Anne Geddes grew up she read  such magazines as National Geographic and Life.  Anne loved the images of people and liked the idea of a single still image capturing an exact moment in time that could never be repeated.

At 17, To record her day-to-day adventures with a chain of tourist hotels in New Zealand, Anne began taking literally hundreds of photographs, observing and learning to appreciate the different qualities of natural light. Later Anne was hired as a secretary at a local TV station in Brisbane, Australia, moving into a setting where a visual medium was at the forefront. She thrived in the concentrated, creative environment. Anne met Kel Geddes, the station’s programming director during this time. Anne and Kel married in Hong Kong in 1983 when his job took him there.

While in Hong Kong, she built up a fairly extensive portfolio of portraiture, Anne and Kel returned  to Sydney, Australia were they welcomed their first girl in 1984. It was at this time that Anne created her first photographic holiday card for her family, which soon led her to launch her small-personalized greeting card business.
When the family moved to Melbourne in 1986, Anne set up her first studio, in an old run-down garage at the  rear of their garden. Anne developed her skills by working in the studio environment as an unpaid assistant to a local photographer. She entered her first photographic competition and was placed second. Anne and Kel’s second daughter was born in Melbourne in 1986. Kel’s job then took the family to Auckland, New Zealand.

In 1988, Anne Gaddes photos of Gemma, a little girl standing in a tutu, taken previously in her studio in Melbourne, was her first published photograph.
Anne’s portraiture business in Auckland was thriving, and in 1990, she decided to take one day a month to explore her inspirations and create an image purely for herself. The first and second images from these personal shoots were “Joshua” and “Rhys and Grant,” twins who became known as her “Cabbage Kids”—one of her most recognized photographs around the world.

In 1992, Kel became Anne’s business partner, and the first Anne Geddes card collection was introduced in New Zealand. Anne Geddes photos were placed 1st in two sections at the AGFA Photokina in Germany, among other awards and accolades. It was this level of professional recognition, coupled with a request to help raise money for the prevention of child abuse, and the success of Anne’s greeting cards that led to thoughts of producing a calendar.

From the first photographed friends’ babies in Hong Kong to the publication of the first Anne Geddes calendar, released in New Zealand in 1992 was ten years. Anne and Kel were unable to find a publishing house and distributor for the calendar, so they sold the calendar door-to-door from the boot of their car and in camera  stores, fund raising  more than US $20,000 to help prevent child abuse and neglect. Their charitable giving formed the cornerstone for what later became the nonprofit Geddes Philanthropic Trust.

Anne and Kel took a  risk  to publish her second calendar, available in 1993 in New Zealand and Australia. They sold their home in New Zealand and—confident they could risk it all, even with two girls to raise—invested their life savings to self-publish 20,000 copies in Australia; the calendar sold out within three weeks. Using the profits, they printed another 20,000 copies, which also sold out. Soon afterward, they received a call from an interested publisher. Anne’s calendars continue to be exceedingly successful. The charitable side of Anne and Kel’s life extended to include donations from all product sold under the Anne Geddes name.

About this time , Anne and Kel were reading bedtime stories full of fantasy characters to their young girls, and Anne began to envision a fairy tale told through photography—  this was the   beginnings of her first large-format gift book, Down in the Garden.
Down in the Garden was published in 1996 and led to Anne’s first appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Oprah’s chat with Anne and her enthusiastic appreciation of Anne’s imagery featured on the show ignited interest in Anne coast-to-coast in the U.S. Down in the Garden took the world by storm and received international acclaim as the world fell in love with Anne and her distinctive imagery.

Anne Geddes artistry continued to develop and as she explored new expressions of her deeply held belief that we must protect, nurture, and love all children. In 1998, she and Kel formally founded the Geddes Philanthropic Trust and inaugurated the first Geddes Fellowship, a program to fund a dedicated primary physician concentrating in the identification, treatment, and research of child abuse and neglect—in this instance at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia.

The genesis of MIRACLE, Anne’s artistic collaboration with Celine Dion,  Anne thought that she might be in a position to bring joy to Stacy, a nine-year-old girl struggling  with cancer. She and Kel were very close to Stacy, who was a big  fan of Celine. Anne had heard that Celine was a fan of hers, so she asked Celine to contact the girl. Celine phoned Stacy in her hospital room. From Anne’s call to thank Celine grew an understanding of their common values, and the images and music that became Miracle, published simultaneously in 22 countries in 11 languages in 2004.

Stepping from behind the camera, Anne spoke about her life and art in her eagerly anticipated autobiography, A Labor of Love, published in 2007 to international acclaim. She shared details of her growing-up  years, her unfolding career, behind-the-scenes stories about creating her images, and her deeply felt dedication to helping to prevent child abuse and neglect. A Labor of Love was preceded by Cherished Thoughts with Love (2005) and followed by Be Gentle with the Young (2008).

Anne Geddes photos have been published in 83 countries spanning North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Her books have sold more than 18 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 24 languages.

The Beatles- Abbey Road Poster

Were did the Beatles get their name?

The group’s name had numerous inspirations. Stuart Sutcliffe noted that a motorcycle gang in the film, “The Wild One,” was called ‘The Beetles,’ and John Lennon reportedly had a dream in which a man appeared “on a flaming pie,” saying, “You will be Beatles with an ‘a’.” The band members were also influenced by the name of Buddy Holly’s band, the Crickets.

After Paul Mccartney’s song, “Penny Lane” became a Beatles hit, the street signs of the actual Penny Lane in Liverpool were stolen by fans with such regularity (as also happened on the real Abbey Road), that the Liverpool reverted to simply painting ‘Penny Lane’ on the buildings, rather than have street signs.

Strawberry Fields

“Strawberry Fields” was named after a real place, Strawberry Field, a children’s home run by the Salvation Army in Liverpool. Its location was near John’s childhood home. The original Victorian building was beyond repair and was demolished in the late 1960′s. Land at the back of the property was sold off to help pay for the new buildings. It is still called “Strawberry Field” and the original walls and gates are there, and it’s still a Salvation Army Children’s Home. John sent Strawberry Field a large donation before his death and in his honour Strawberry Field named one of it’s buildings “Lennon Hall”. Yoko still sends donations of cash.

Who was the Real Eleanor Rigby?

Though there was a woman named Eleanor Rigby in Liverpool, she was not the inspiration for the song. Paul simply made up the name. The Father McKenzie in “Eleanor Rigby,” was almost called Father McCartney, when Paul first composed the lyrics. However, a search in the phone book yielded the more general name McKenzie.

Contrary to popular belief, the title for “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” was prompted by 4-year-old Julian Lennon’s description of a painting he brought home from school, not the drug, LSD. John Lennon was said to prefer Elton John’s rendition of the song, and played background guitar and backup vocals on John’s version, credited as “Dr. Winston O’Boogie and his Reggae Guitars.”

Ed Sullivan and the Beatles

Though the Beatles were still largely unknown in the U.S. in October 1963, Ed Sullivan got his first glimpse of Beatlemania on Halloween of that year. His plane at Heathrow Airport outside London was delayed due to hordes of screaming Beatles fans welcoming the boys back from an overseas concert. When he was notified about the cause of the delay, Ed Sullivan said, “Who the hell are the Beatles?” That experience prompted him to book them on his show in 1964. (The Beatles, for their part, had not previously heard of Ed Sullivan).

Though “The Ed Sullivan Show” was the first TV program in America to host the Beatles, (February 9, 1964), ABC and CBS shot concert footage of the band in November 1963 as Beatlemania swept England. On December 7, 1963, “The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite” featured footage of Beatles fans at a concert. On Friday, January 3, 1964, Jack Paar’s show was the first to broadcast footage of them on a major U.S. show, when Paar played a clip of the Beatles performing “She Loves You.” At that point Paar was not a fan, and he disparaged their haircuts on air.

Among the people on the cover of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” are Stuart Sutcliffe (one of the Beatles’ early band members), Laurel and Hardy, Marilyn Monroe, Karl Marx, boxer Sonny Liston, Bob Dylan, Lenny Bruce and Shirley Temple. Shirley had visited the Beatles in their dressing room backstage at a San Francisco concert in 1964. It is said when the Beatles requested her permission to use her image on the cover of the album, she was the only celebrity who insisted upon hearing the disc before granting permission.

John Lennon’s Aunt

Though she bought him his first guitar, John’s Aunt Mimi discouraged him from a career in music, saying, according to John: “The guitar’s all right as a hobby, but it won’t earn you any money.” Years later, John gave her a silver plaque with that quote engraved upon it.
In 1970 the world famous and world loved Beatles separated. Everybody was hoping to see the Beatles come back together. That hope ended when the peace loving John Lennon was killed outside his New York City apartment by 25 year old Mark David Chapman.
The Beatles were unusual because most rock was strong beat with no melody. The Beatles added melody to rock. The Beatles also added strong and meaningful lyrics. John Lennon wrote a book called “In His Own Write.” The Beatles started a new era of music. They wore their hair long and shaggy. This haircut was known as the Beatles haircut.
