Perseverance

Pronunciation [pur-suh-veer-uhns]

–noun
1.     steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
2.     Theology. continuance in a state of grace to the end, leading to eternal salvation.

“Victory belongs to him who has the most perseverance.” Napoleon

It is a statement that is as true today as when Napoleon first said it.

“Success isn’t something you chase. It’s something you have to put forth the effort for constantly. Then maybe it’ll come when you least expect it. Most people don’t understand that.” – Michael Jordan

The truth is that only a small percentage of people ever achieve their full potential – and those who do are the ones who persevere toward their goals.

Leadership

Spelled Pronunciation [lee-der-ship]

–noun
1.    The position or function of a leader: He managed to maintain his leadership of the party despite heavy opposition.
2.     Ability to lead: She displayed leadership potential.
3.     An act or instance of leading; guidance; direction: They prospered under his leadership.
4.     The leaders of a group: The union leadership agreed to arbitrate.

“The Definition of Leadership is …”

The definition of leadership is influence. Everything rises and falls on leadership. So, if these statements are true, then the job of a leader is to get things done through influencing others.

Qualities of a leader

1. Integrity: This is a deal breaker if you don’t have it completely. When it comes to governance. Never do anything or asked anyone to do anything you couldn’t go home and explain to your children.

2. A deep understanding of the business: You can’t fake it. People will know. While you don’t need to know every detail, you do have to have a good grasp of the business.

3. Decisiveness: While you should listen to others’ opinions, the final decision is yours to make. When a leader fails its very often because they were not decisive. People lose confidence in leaders whose indecision results in failure.

4. The ability to listen: Good leaders must be willing to handle opinions contrary to their own and absorb as much as they can.

5. Willingness to admit a mistake: Everyone makes mistakes. If you’re not making any, you’re not doing your learning. The important thing is admitting your missteps — otherwise people will not respect you.

6. Consistency: While keeping things fresh is important, leaders cannot change direction frequently. They will lose people’s confidence.

Wisdom

Wisdom: Gray Wolf

Wisdom: Gray Wolf

Seek always, for by looking for one thing you will surely if another:

This is the path to wisdom

Wisdom is knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight. It is an ideal that has been celebrated since antiquity as the application of knowledge needed to live a good life. Beyond simply knowing /understanding what options are available, “Wisdom” provides the ability to differentiate between them and choose the one that is best. What this means exactly depends on the various wisdom schools and traditions claiming to help foster it. In general, these schools have emphasized various combinations of the following: knowledge, understanding, experience, discipline, discretion, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these qualities well towards finding solutions to problems. In many traditions, the terms wisdom and intelligence have somewhat overlapping meanings; in others they are arranged hierarchically, with intelligence being necessary but not sufficient for wisdom.

Neo-Platonists like Cusanus, endorsed a ‘docta ignorantia’ in which the greatest wisdom was to recognize one’s own ignorance of the divine.

According to Rice (1958) two wisdom traditions can be identified in the Renaissance: Contemplative and prudential. Contemplative traditions, such as monastic traditions, emphasized meditation on one’s own experience as a pathway to the divine: Augustine of Hippo was an early and influential figure in the Christian lineage of this tradition. The status of wisdom or prudence as a virtue is recognized in cultural, philosophical and religious sources as the judicious and purposeful application of knowledge that is valued in society. Charron (1601) was an influential Renaissance proponent of this wisdom tradition.

One of the more controversial stars of her day, West encountered many problems including censorship.

When her cinematic career ended, she continued to perform on stage, in Las Vegas, in the United Kingdom, on radio and television, and recorded rock and roll albums.

Work Together

Working Together
WORKING TOGETHER

Individuals play games, but teams win championships

Collaboration is another name for Working Together. A process where two or more people or organizations work together towards a common goal. Most collaboration requires leadership, although the form of leadership can be social within the group. In particular, teams that work collaboratively can obtain greater resources, recognition and reward when facing competition for finite resources.
Cooperation is also another way of working together to accomplish shared goals. Within cooperative situations, individuals seek outcomes that are beneficial to themselves and beneficial to all other group members.
So how would you define a team of people working together to achieve one goal?
For example a property development team, this team involves architectures, planners, the client, developer etc. They all team up to complete one project with the same aim.
The best word is probably COLLABORATION, since it means working together to create something. Used as an adjective, it would be “collaborative team”.

The simple “project team” can also work. In both cases, you can change “team” to “ensemble” if you like.

The action of working with someone to produce or create something. Working together.
